Most teams don’t need another motivational speech
They need work to function better for the people inside it.
Let me guess: something’s been off for … a while

People are frustrated. Conversations keep circling the same issues.
Everybody’s working around things instead of fixing them.
At some point, the dysfunction just starts feeling normal.
You can’t fix problems you haven’t fully named yet.
Work feels better when people aren’t constantly compensating for broken dynamics
I help teams figure out what’s creating those patterns in the first place so the solutions fit the people doing the work.
When people stop wasting energy managing confusion, tension, and constant workarounds, they can focus on doing their jobs well again.
ABOUT HOUSE OF JACK
I’ve spent enough time inside real workplaces to know most problems don’t exist in isolation.
I've worked inside federal agencies, industrial facilities, non-profits, and big enterprise organizations. One thing I know for sure: the surface-level issue is rarely the whole issue.
My work focuses on understanding what’s actually happening inside the environment so the solutions make sense for the people expected to live and work inside them.
I’ve led teams in environments where the pressure was high, the stakes were real, and communication mattered.
"Jack" John Joseph Commane, Baldwinsville, NY. Veteran, Police Chief, Truant Officer, Newspaper Distributor, and the heart and inspiration behind House of Jack.
I care a lot less about workplace optics than I do about how people are actually experiencing the work.
I got into this work after spending years inside environments where people were just trying to survive the workday.
I started at the bottom in a major federal environment and worked my way into leadership myself. I know what it feels like when communication breaks down, pressure becomes normal, and people stop expecting things to get better.
The longer I worked in those environments, the less interested I became in blanket solutions that never involved talking to the people doing the work.
Eventually, I had the opportunity to work inside one of the same organizations that had once made my own work life miserable. Instead of going back into operations, I started coaching leaders.
I couldn’t go back after that.
I believe people do better work when they feel like human beings instead of problems to manage.
The values that guide everything I do:
People are not operational inconveniences
The people doing the work are not obstacles to manage around. The way people are treated inside a workplace shapes everything from communication to performance to retention.
Context matters more than assumptions
I don’t believe in diagnosing problems without talking to the people living inside them. Most issues make a lot more sense once you understand the environment around them.
Surface-level fixes usually fail
Blanket solutions sound good in meetings. They rarely hold up in real life. I care more about what works than what looks impressive on paper.
Leadership affects more than productivity
The way leaders communicate, respond to pressure, and make decisions has a direct impact on the people around them. I take that seriously.
People do better work when they feel safe being human
Not perfect. Not endlessly productive. Human. Most teams don’t need to be pushed harder. They need healthier environments to work inside.
”Working in a hostile environment was very damaging to my mental health. I even considered leaving a job that I love so much due to the mistreatment. Faye came in and I immediately knew that action was going to happen and nothing will be swept under the rug. I was treated with kindness and was able to share my experiences without fear.”

“Faye helped me realize my team didn’t need me to work harder. They needed me to lead differently.”
